Reversible ETSC/ESB (Endoscopic Sympathetic Block by Clamping):
Conventional sympathetic surgery (ETS) includes irreversible cutting or burning of sympathetic nervous trunk.
ETSC/ESB designed by Dr. Lin in 1996, possesses reversible character. Titanium-made clip is used to clamp the sympathetic nervous trunk without cutting or burning it through two small incision wounds in armpit. It takes less than 20 minutes to finish whole ETSC/ESB procedures bilaterally. Patients usually return their normal activities on the next day after operation. No scar is visible after wound healed. Reversible procedure can be performed by removal of clips.

Procedures of ETSC/ESB were performed on a 6 year old girl. Immediate good results, invisible operation wounds and quick recovery were achieved.

Chest X-Ray of the same patient. (Upper): before ESB (Left lower): clamped level can be easily identified in ESB (red arrows) (Right lower): Clips were removed when ESB was changed for ETS. There’s no difference between before and after ETS.
