Facial Blushing (Rosacea) and flushing:
Facial blushing is another kind of sympathetic disorders. Rosacea (red spots) is its late change of facial skin from neovascularization (new growth of blood vessels). Facial skin gradually becomes red and painful in sun (photophobia or erythrophobia). Facial flushing is burning feeling of face and frequently with withdrawal behavior.
People with facial blushing or flushing frequently display withdrawal behavior in public (social phobia). Social life and learning are disturbed. Social Phobia may be its late response.
The incidence of social phobia and even tendency of suicide is higher and more common on male than on female.
Facial blushing and flushing can be cured by ETS or ESB but the level clamped on ESB is different from for cure of Hyperhidrosis. Severe reflex sweating is possible on around 17.0% of facial blushing or flushing even without facial sweating after sympathetic procedure. Better surgical results are found on female than on male with facial blushing, in addition, also on sweating type of Facial Blushing
Poor surgical results are found on 15.0% of patients over 40 years old, but excellent results are achieved by adjuvant therapy with clonidine.
